ack in Higginsville, this grain processing and storage building is at the other end of the spectrum compared to the one featured last Friday. It probably is the first one that was built here, and is no longer operational. It is constructed with wood and covered by a corrugated metal siding. It incorporates many interested design elements and is located directly adjacent to the railroad tracks. Every time I visit Higginsville, invariably I photograph this structure. I suspect the cost to maintain it will not be borne by its owners, and it will deteriorate as time marches relentlessly forward.
“If you survive long enough, you're revered - rather like an old building.”- Katharine Hepburn
