Oops I did it again

   Demand for satisfaction
Complex
Fierce and downright scary

C ircles can symbolize infinity. They are also associated with fortification, as circles are an innately strong design structure able to withstand great pressure forces. In another context they can signify movement, such as rolling free like a ball or controlled spinning like a globe.

Today's image is another spherical illustration that was inspired by a series of images found fishing around in Flickr. This technique is called “Amazing Circles”, and although it is sort of a one trick pony it is enormously entertaining. It uses the Photoshop polar distort filter run several times with an 180 degree rotation sandwiched between distorts. To get a circle you need to work with a square; any other aspect ratio will give you an oval. Some of the results look like glass paper weights that once were popular, and may be making a comeback.
