A rchitecture has much in common with photography, as it represents a human controlled subjective mapping of the elements/components of some kind of system, which preserves the relationships among the elements/components.

Architecture is an interdisciplinary field, drawing upon mathematics, science, art, technology, social sciences, politics, history, and philosophy. An architect should be well versed in fields as varied as music and ecology. Philosophy is a popular field of study for architects; in fact the approach of an architect to their subject is often called their philosophy. Rationalism, empiricism, structuralism, post structuralism, and phenomenology are some topics from philosophy that have influenced architecture.

"Architecture is a science, arising out of many other sciences, and adorned with much and varied learning: by the help of which a judgment is formed of those works which are the result of other arts." - Marcus Vitruvius Pollio

Planned architecture often manipulates space, volume, texture, light, shadow, or abstract elements in order to achieve pleasing aesthetics. Sounds like image making.
